44. Denise on couch

She thought long and hard about her next move. The last one was a failure, even she could admit that. But to chalk it up to experience and move forward was easier said than done. The road looked rough and scarred so she sidestepped and turned elegantly as needed. It became less of an issue just what she was heading toward once she decided to dance toward it.

43. Ballet Legs

It was in her soul. Just watching, he could see that. He kept silent this time even though she was aware of his presence. She became a different person when she put them on, becoming a player on her own stage. He allowed that. Then he suggested she keep them on for the night. He wanted a piece of her soul.

42. Denise in elevator

She didn’t have to answer him anymore. When she left it wasn’t confrontational, she just knew she would go, and the timing was perfect. Her heart knew there was more, but it was her intuition that truly led her places. That contentment let her cruise through anything the universe threw her way.

41. Mexico Visa

He had no choice, he had to go. The issue was all consuming, pressing into a part of his being he never even knew existed. He wasn’t sure what he’d find when he arrived but that was almost irrelevant. The adventure of the trip would be part of the experience. The arrival, getting to the other side, was more than a destination. It was his ticket to the future.

40. Saltless Man

His mother always said he had “get up and go”. She was right, but he had to be shepherded along in the right manner by the right people for it to really work. Without that his talent was for naught. It wasn’t for lack of motivation, he was not a saltless man. He just wanted to get to the mall first.

39. Soostalan 2 Umbrella

He tried his best to offset the melancholy that drenched his everyday life. Though he had been labeled the class clown it had become increasingly difficult to pull off as an adult. So he lived bounded by these dichotomous states but perpetually felt closer to what he really was. He considered the art of balance and decided to become a circus performer.

38. Soostalan 1

It wasn’t that he had given up, it was an extension of who he truly was. He just wanted folks to leave him alone and to be ready to run if necessary. The problem was when he spoke he was magnetic and people were engaged regardless. He couldn’t run and felt compelled to accept every dinner invitation.

37. Art studio sign

A dream within a dream. He thought about all his incarnations leading up to this. His life was running longer than planned. The legitimate truth was he wanted to become a fireman, but was embarrassed to tell anyone.

36. Butt

Sexualizing herself came from force of habit. They were just moves. She wasn’t willing to do anything to get her man, but this seemed benign enough and it overtly swayed the power to her side she figured. The shock would come later when she discovered the reciprocal connectedness they felt. He was interested in far more.

35. Leggings

She formalized her steps to a point where most people thought looking down was rude. But the fact was that she just wanted to make sure she was doing the right thing. It was more intentional than anyone knew. She would be purposeful this time and no one could fault her for that.

34. Legs

To him this was ultimate freedom. He escaped the depths of despair to get to this point. It was right where he wanted to be and would never get any better. He found his tribe and was sticking with them. Regression was pointless. No one would ever hear his real story.

33. Radio

Those sounds were her only way out. They took her far from the bellows of her father’s insults, her mother’s passivity and the never-ending chores of village life. It held words and music that spoke of opinions and freedom. It was better than the stories her older sisters bragged of from afar. The voices became imaginary friends and she had pretend conversations with each character when the signal faded at night. Unfortunately what seemed dreamy as a child became grating later on. So she lived her adult life in silence.

32. Paris

Everyone said that a change of scenery would do it. That if she discovered a new focus it would all go away. They were wrong. She still thought of him obsessively. It was never going to matter where she was or whom she was with, he would remain in of her soul. That’s how she felt until she spilt her coffee and her life truly changed forever.

31. Closeup Smoke

It pained her to make the decision. She held it everywhere in her body, tightening and straining places that had never known tension. The struggle engulfed her in a way that was annoying and pesky, knowing it was time to face it for herself and no one else. She was happy the Tabac sold Galoises by the carton.

30. Fanny

The psychic said it would be this way. But when it actually happened and the scenario played itself out, she was in disbelief. She was at its centre but had no control, it was like dying and looking down from above. When the shock wore off she swore to never let someone look at her palms again.
