He stared as the emotional realization set in. She was an old shell now, this other wife, this other mother, who had deprived him of his father for all those years. It was only now deep in his senility that he looked at him straight on. As a boy when he looked, always in passing, his eyes were glazed over, thinking of the work machine. So this ghastly beast was it. He sighed and continued his work as foreman, setting out the demolition plans.

107. Landscape
He knew better than to have expectations. His mind ran with what his week would hold in this unknown foreign place. He tried to manage the ideal possible scenario but his imagination swung violently against it. To remain open was the guiding advice. The skies had already decided he would never leave this place.

106. Daisy Dukes
It was creativity with a foundation of practicality. The spirit to party freely came first but she never wanted to lose herself completely to it. She had tools to ground herself and she convinced herself that getting swept off her feet was next to impossible. But he stole the reins of control out of her grasp in one fell swoop.

He didn’t know what to say to him. The fine line between cool and ridiculous had been crossed. Partial relief was there for the remnants he clung to but the rest was utterly cringeworthy. He considered turning around and leaving before he noticed him. Then he decided it was his lot in life to deliver cool to the masses one attitude and one outfit at a time.

102. Brad
He had high hopes. This was his last ditch attempt to shine. His overachievement had led to naught, in fact he just felt fatigue at the life long effort. He wanted the personality he finally discovered to stand alone. Others seemed to like it. This was his real self, he was no longer invisible man nor the boy who would be crushed. But impressing dear father was still a daunting task.

101. Tv stand
His only way in was to sneak. The scent of nail polish permeated the room. So this is what the women were up to when he heard them giggling beyond the door. The exclusion hurt. He found a color that pleased him, delicately painted his baby toe, jammed his sneaker back on and left, softly closing the door behind him.

100. Negril road new years
A whiff of danger tinged the excitement of the moment. There was comfort in numbers, in the clouds of car exhaust and jamming stereos. She wanted to examine everyone but knew better than to look too closely as curious as she was. There were boundaries within the frenzy. The pomp and parade gave her enough nostalgia to last a lifetime.

99. Jamaica DJ
The atmosphere was assaultive on the senses. The bass rocked him from the inside out, the girls whined up there waists in the front of the crowd and the smell of oily fried fish and festival made his stomach growl. He wouldn’t have it any other way. It made up for the guilt of telling Mama he was going to church tonight.
98. J. A. Flowers
He would do anything to impress her with beauty. It made up for his missteps and possibly bought him some positive karma he figured. He learned quickly that material things meant less to her. But the soft mewling of the baby in her arms was the best gift of all and nothing would ever top that. Poopy diapers notwithstanding.

97. Sexy Guy
She knew better than to approach him like this. He was shielded from his daytime life and became a younger version of his warrior self as a result. She didn’t blame him, his responsibilities were heavy and she allowed the escape. He was accessorized to party and that was her warning sign to lengthen the ties of their bond and let him be.

96. The Car Jockey
They treated him like shit. Most of the customers fell into 3 stereotypical categories; asshole, jerk and jackass. Their attitude didn’t bother him because he saw his work there as a means to an end. He spent his days in the cavern of darkness. His nights, however, were beyond what anyone would suspect, and he liked it that way.

95. Sao Paolo church
It was hard to believe he had been there for 30 days already. When he fled with his family he had no other place to go in the panic of it all. He felt the guilt building, as his young sons played in the aisles of the pews, rowdy one minute, solemn at others, reflecting the mood of their parents. They were all pressed into a constant state of looking inward. He felt like a prisoner of Christ.
94. Motorcycle
She felt flaky for her indecision. Some days she loved it; the pavement heat rising, the urban gallery of graffiti art, sweet drinks and spicy food. Others she loathed it: the city’s assaulting smells, the leering men who spat, and the indignant noise. She wasn’t noncommittal, she just had the freedom to make the choice at this point, and in that she reveled.
